Your Windows 7 PC Will No Longer Be Supported

by | Jun 26, 2019 | News | 0 comments

Windows 7 will no longer be supported by Microsoft after January 14, 2020. If you have one or more computers running Windows 7, you should be aware that Microsoft support for the operating system will expire in January 2020. This means that security and stability updates will no longer be available for Windows 7 after this time.

Please note that after January 14, 2020, we will no longer support Windows 7 machines because we don’t believe it’s safe to run an operating system that does not receive security patches and stability updates.

Most small business (and residential) customers will have two options to address the Windows 7 expiration:

1. Replace the computer with a new computer running a modern operating system. In most cases this will be our recommendation.
2. Upgrade your computer(s) to Windows 10. This is realistic if the computers with the expiring operating system are not more than a few years old.

If you are not sure whether to replace or upgrade your computer as Windows 7 expires, please reach out to us and we will provide a remote courtesy assessment to determine which option would best meet your particular needs, as well as the potential costs.
