The Case of the Illegal Characters

More and more businesses and residential users are using both Macs and PCs. If you transfer files across platforms, you should be aware that there are certain characters that you may use in Mac file names that you cannot use in PC file names. If you use these characters in your file name, you will have trouble transferring the file from Mac to PC, and you may not get an error message as to why. To assure maximumu compatibility between Mac and PC, here are the characters you should not use when naming your files and folders:
