Our Team

Roberta is the founder of Geek Girls IT Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Tufts University, which she earned concurrently with a bachelor’s degree in jazz piano from New England Conservatory.

Roberta worked briefly as a software engineer (at the long-defunct Digital Equipment Corporation) before pivoting to a career as a professional jazz pianist. Roberta’s interest in IT support began when, as a working artist with limited financial resources, she was motivated to solve her own computer problems. She soon discovered that her left brain was well-suited for the task, and in 2005 she founded Geek Girls to provide IT support to New York and New Jersey companies.

Roberta is proud of Geek Girls IT Services’ unique status as a certified woman-owned computer services business in New Jersey.

Gina is excited to be a part of the Geek Girls IT Services team. With a background in Human Resources, she brings a people-first mindset, strong customer service skills, and administrative know-how to support both our technicians and customers.

Always eager to learn something new, Gina was drawn to Geek Girls IT Services for our empathetic, client-centered approach as well as our status as a woman-owned business.

A New Jersey native, Gina loves spending time with family and friends, including her beagles, and continues her lifelong passion for dance by taking classes, teaching, and performing at local events.

Matthew has been with Geek Girls IT Services since 2018. He first became interested in technology when he was twelve. “My mother bought a computer for my brother and me”, he explains, “and I took it apart. (My mother was so angry!) When I put it back together it was fully functional! From that point on I would take apart any electronics that I could get my hands on and learn everything about them.”

Matthew has a degree in Network Systems Administration, but he considers himself largely self-taught. He is an expert in network security, web services security, PHP, JAVA, and Windows and Apple operating systems.

Matthew loves the everyday challenges of working at Geek Girls IT Services in Bergen County. He especially enjoys troubleshooting issues and addressing security vulnerabilities in networks and websites. In addition to technology, Matthew enjoys riding his Banshee Two-Stroke Quad and spending time with his wife and children.

Alexis has been interested in technology since childhood. Early on, she became the de facto tech support for her household. Alexis attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for Electrical Engineering but prefers information technology. An expert in networking, Mac OS, and Linux, she especially likes working in network and server side administration.

Alexis has been with Geek Girls IT Services since 2022, and her technical resourcefulness and customer service skills add great value to the team.

In her free time, Alexis produces EDM, pop and rock music. Alexis was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ.

Mariusz earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Montclair State University​. In 2023, while still completing his studies, he joined Geek Girls IT Services as an intern. His conscientious work ethic and dedication earned him a full-time technical position in 2025.

Mariusz’s fascination with technology began at age 10, when he received his first PlayStation 2. That early spark grew into a lifelong passion for exploring technology. Today, he brings that same enthusiasm to supporting our clients and solving their IT challenges with patience and care.

A lifelong New Jerseyan, Mariusz is committed to continually expanding his knowledge and skills. In addition to his BA, he holds the CompTIA A+ Certification.
